Help required: Grass movement

Hey,

I'm pretty new to particule flow and I'm experimenting things. I am doing a standard grass field, It works quite ok, except when I want to put wind in it. I'd like it to act only the top of the grass blade moving. Not the bottom. A bit like if I'd put a planted key on the base of each grass blade.

Is it possible, and if yes, how please?

I'm pretty sure it can be done with Lock/Bound though. Tell me if I'm near it! icon_smile.gif

    Are you using a Shape Instance Operator for the grass blades? If so, then nope...Lock/Bond will affect the Particle's Position only. If you want animated grass blades, you'll have to animate the Source Object(s) in the Shape Instance Operator.
    To prevent all blades from moving in sync, use different objects in the Shape Instance (separated by Elements, Group Members or Hierarchy) with different animations. If you want to further randomize the motion, spawn the Particles over a coupple of Frames (prior to Frame 0) and sync the aniimation in the Shape Instance Operator by Particle Age.

    If you have Box#2 you could build the individual grass blades entirely from particles sticking to each other and animate them with a Wind Space Warp...
