The miniature I worked on for Kingdom Death was released on Friday
for sale on the Kingdom Death store.
I worked on this project with Hazardous in mid 09 and it was really refreshing to work on.
Here is a few renders of the Zbrush model and the final miniature. So many anatomy errors I can see now. >.<

Looks nice dude Dig the shark mouth personally.
Great end product, thumbs up steph.
(the ears, teeth, facial structure and hair fall together real nicely)
Haha yeah I was pretty happy i could put ze gonads in
Cheers for all the comments everyone!
Haha yup exactly! He is kinda like a deformed lion. Part of some experiments. Thats why he has human-ish hands and shark teeth and a not so lionish face.
Though I probably should have made the teeth thicker so they were more noticable
It does have a bunch of anatomy errors, but some of them are quite nice, the mouth and hands give a nice monstery feel for instance. Is there going to be any for at all on the body? It looks a bit nude.
the musculature in that model is spot on. i love it.
I think I just started out with a cube and sub divided it. Then a just moved it around into a rough shape, retopoed it to evenly distribute the polies, then with that I just sculpted the hair in, increasing the sub div level when I have finished the previous subdiv. That way I was able to work out the major forms before detailing it further. I used clay tubes, standard (alpha 39) and flatten.
Hair is always tricky because you need to describe depth and lightness. It was by far the most time consuming part.
hahah yeah xD
Yeah there are a lot of anatomy errors! I think the main problem I had was sculpting the muscles in the posed position too. I had awesome anatomy plates I just didnt understand them as well as a human.
As for the nude body, I think its like that to keep the focus on the front of the figure and to keep it open for conversions. (people making stuff to add to the sculpt. Ie; armour or wings)
Thanks everyone for the comments!
really like how the muscles look on the body and the mane is fantastic, great stuff (hope you got a copy of the 3d print for yourself too )
He should be able to eat corn very well with them teeth. Maybe.
I will hopefully be getting my own printed version soon
