[WIP] Space Lab

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forums. I decided to join to get critiques on my work so I can improve myself :)

Anyways, here's the project I'm currently working on.

This is just a rough concept of the idea, it's supposed to be a futuristic/space station lab.

I'll be starting the 3D side later today.

    I started working on some textures for the room in my scene.

    Looks like you are using Crazybump or Nvidia Normal map filter to make your normals.
    Try making them out of High poly models, if you know how to model ofcourse.

    Hey thanks for the input so far everyone.
    I put in some more work on the first 2 textures...

    1)I sharpened the image and redid the normal map

    2)I sharpened this image also, and changed the metal texture a bit

    I also started to create the room, fill it with stuff, and light it.

    I think perhaps your concept is too simple and that its not helping you with your modeling and texturing, perhaps looking at tv/ film/ game reference photo's you might be able to find something that can be more helpful.
    Other than that three main things stands out to me,

    - The room is basicly just a cube, try to be a bit more creative and see what you can come up with.
    - The wall texture appears to be almost like concrete because it is too noisy.
