if you rotate the model around 180 degrees it looks like a mix between a praying mantis and a beetle, the the tail as a head. Just something to pay attention to, you don't want people seeing a bug too much.
Maybe you could have the whole body be able to rotate kind of like a turret on top of the legs. That way it will be able to maneuver and turn to acquire targets more easily. Just a thought.
Stop working on making it high poly and get the basic body nailed down first. your make it really hard on your self if you need to change something in the future (i.e. the nose) finish the tail, finish the legs, and rework from the cockpit forward to better match the concept.

I did a quick paintover with some leg and tail changes that I think make the whole design somewhat more dynamic. Hope it helps.
