In 3ds max 2010 we could easily fix seams or do photo-realistic texture painting using viewport canvas. by capturing viewport, open it into photoshop, fix seams or make changes and update texture.
now I'm trying 3ds max 2011 and I could not find any tools to do something like that. all available tools just lets me paint directely into 3ds max.
do I miss something? or is there any other similar ways in 2011?

Mudbox allows you to use Photoshop as a middle ware to paint directly within generated PSD files. For max there are plugins like GhostPainter from Cebas (integrating PS into Max) or TexTools by using the clipboard as interchange format.
actually I know some other ways to remove seems. but the easiest way I could found was 3ds max viewport canvas. and I was looking for this, or something like this into 2011.
I could not use your textools plugin, but today after reviewing it, I understood it's pipeline. I will use it for know.
if you could find another way in 2011 please let me know!
edit: Ok, I just realized you meant that you wanted to be able to paint in photoshop.
Polyboost would let you take a snapshot and paint on it in photoshop. I imagine that's what the OP is looking for. I don't have Max 2011, but someone must know where to find this functionality.
I don't remember anything in polyboost doing anything like he's suggesting but its possible I just never knew about it. The closest thing I can find is the 2D view.

Was this removed in max2011?
PS. for now I'm using Renderhjs's Textools..
In a way it is very similar to how the first polyBoost canvas drawing worked except it is all scripted instead of a compiled plugin.
Yup.
