You know those moments that just take your breathe away, and you realize its because you're a huge nerd?
I just had one of those when Trejo was fighting Steven Seagal.
Dear god.
Robert Deniro?
This movie has everything.

Haha, truer words have never been spoken! That looks fantastic.
Noob question...is this a tie-in with any previous movies? Like Grindhouse? Or is it a brand new flick?
From what I know, the Grindhouse 'label' isn't around anymore. But apparently they are making "Thanksgiving" (the faux trailer by Eli Roth) now too. So maybe these will both be in a new grindhouse feature? :poly121:
Well, the trailer was part of the original Grind House set, presumably as fun filler things, I guess Rodriguez liked it so much (or other people did!) that he set about making it properly.
It's the same voiceover from the original fake trailer, just re-cut up. And now they have an awesome cast (although Cheech Marin was in the original fake trailer, nice to see they kept him!).
I for one cannot wait. It looks hilariously brilliant!
So... when did it become cool to kiss the ass of people that come to this country illegally?
"a message for Arizona"... please...
Really, you can't figure out what is blatantly wrong with the Arizona laws? You may want to try to expand your informational resources beyond Fox and do some critical thinking.
You'll realize why it's "cool" to be strongly against the Arizona laws.
(A hint to get you started; begin by thinking about how being against that law has nothing to do with "kissing the ass" of illegal immigrants.)
So awesome! Definitely going to have to see this in the theater.
From Wiki:
According to Rodriguez, the origins of the film go back to Desperado. He says, "When I met Danny, I said, 'This guy should be like the Mexican Jean-Claude Van Damme or Charles Bronson, putting out a movie every year and his name should be Machete.' So I decided to do that way back when, never got around to it until finally now. So now, of course, I want to keep going and do a feature."[10] In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Rodriguez said that he wrote the screenplay back in 1993 when he cast Trejo in Desperado. "So I wrote him this idea of a federale from Mexico who gets hired to do hatchet jobs in the U.S. I had heard sometimes FBI or DEA have a really tough job that they don't want to get their own agents killed on, they'll hire an agent from Mexico to come do the job for $25,000. I thought, 'That's Machete. He would come and do a really dangerous job for a lot of money to him but for everyone else over here it's peanuts.' But I never got around to making it.

don't want to poke the hive but it's the 30.7 million legal US citizens that are pissed off about having to prove their citizenship now. Danny Trejo was born in LA, he doesn't have to prove he's an American except in Arizona.
That trailer was much better than the current trailer they're showing in movies and such. More action and B-Movie scenes than bullshit about his family and the actors in it. I still think the faux trailer from 2007 is the best though.
I'm going to see this in theaters, most def.
Hopefully not with my mum though, THAT WAS FUN with clerks 2 and grindhouse, but I should probably stop subjecting her to such vulgar trash.

YES!
EDIT: ok after watching, it seems the voiceover was left the same, some scenes too, but ltos of new stuff added.
Real. It was originally a faux trailer but got so much response that they started making it. I still want hobo with a shotgun

Just watch your "eh's" or you'll get deported to Canada! Oh wait, maybe that's not a bad thing?
