Nice one, will take a look. Good timing as I've recently been looking into Unity quite a bit for a pet project of mine
Thanks Sir! Hope you enjoy the first issue
On a side note, I am looking for more contributors when it comes to "art" tutorials. So if any of you think they would be able to contribute anything related to "game art" then let me know via PM or email.
I got as far as seeing I had to pay $4.99 for it, which isn't a whole lot admittedly, but since it's a completely new publication I think I'd have to see a few sample pages to gauge the quality of the writing before committing

Bear in mind that I don't know who you are, and I haven't read any of your previous publications, plus everyone seeming quite chummy in that thread, like you all know each other. With that in mind, I don't think it's much of a stretch to want to see more of a sample before spending my money.
EDIT: I'm really not trying to be a dick about it, but reading what I just wrote I realise I might come off a bit as one..

I'm with you here, 2d artist and 3d artist magazine, release a free version of their zine, so that people can see what is offered.
Also Tornado222 posted this in the unity forum:
Purchased my copy... seems very low price for such awesome content; thanks for the awesome community effort!!
Can't wait to get to read it.
*downloading*
Now that would be a great review, however that person is also listed under your "cool links". Could be completely innocent, but I'm just saying.

There is also the fact he says he can't wait to read it after commenting about the awesome content. thus that is a review, without having read the material
Geez guys ... how about everybody relaxes for a moment? Is it because it's Monday or something? I know the "Tornado Twins" and as a matter of fact they are known within the Unity community for providing a ton of video tutorials.
It's really irrelevant however what they had to say or what anybody else says it seems. I can't force anybody to buy the magazine and I am surely not here to play just the sales person. I am a Game Artist like most of you here and happen to produce tutorials and a magazine myself.
So, you have the choice of buying or not buying. It's that easy Did anyone here even take the time to check the images and table of content which was listed?
Two pages of thumbnail images isn't a really satisfying preview. I'm sure the content is good stuff, but I can see why people are hesitant if they can't see a real sample of it. It could just be newbie tutorials as far as anyone knows, and not something worth five bucks.
The index intrigues me though, so I'll buy it. I guess I'll come back here with impressions for everyone else.

I'll make sure to have some sort of "lite" version in the future. Thanks for your support
I've only read a couple of the articles that stood out most to me, but I must say its really quite good. It seems to lean pretty hard to the technical/design side of things rather than art, but as you said you were looking for more artist input it sounds like that will be balanced out soon enough. The articles were definitely of high quality though, and pretty advanced. The article on Marketing has some really nice gems in there, and the facebook integration article is huge for me, since I will likely encounter some of those issues in the not to distant future.
I also liked the interviews/articles on the indie developers, like TornadoTwins. It had some useful information in there. But more importantly, to me at least, was seeing how each developer started off, and what kind of challenges they faced early on trying to get something rolling. Very good stuff. I'll definitely be returning for the next issue.

I am happy to hear that you liked our first issue that much. Indeed, we are looking for artists who would like to write an article/tutorial on a subject of their choice. You don't necessarily have to use the "Unity" engine but it sure would be a plus (just for presentation purposes).
Cool that someone does a magazine for unity, hope to see some more indie games soon
Just wondering wasnt 3Dattack a Cinema4D magazine before?
Indeed! We "used" to do a C4D magazine but unfortunately there wasn't much demand anymore after 5 years. However, we hope there is demand for our new magazine!
On a side note, if YOU have a project that is near completion using the Unity engine then please contact us! We would love to feature you in our magazine.
@arshlevon - Thanks for your support Sir!!! We sure appreciate it.

Well perhaps reader/buyer reactions will help?:

Besides, we aren't new in the business of electronic publications.
