Hi guys,

I've been working on this high poly weapon model. The gun is a fictional one designed by Masamune Shirow for Dominion Tank Police manga. There are some replica airsoft kits for it and I'm basing this on those. References I'm mainly using are this and this.

There are a few things missing like the fire selector from the back and a few bolts which I just noticed. I'll add those later on with the suppressor and a scope. I'm thinking of doing on aimpoint but if you know any other cool assault rifle scopes I'll gladly take suggestions and hear feedback.

Yeah, I'll be making a low poly, bakes and textures after I'm done with the high poly.

Thanks for the comments. I agree its a weird and unusual design but that's why I like it even tho it looks a bit ugly without the suppressor and scope. But after adding those the gun suddenly becomes a lot cooler. In general I'm a big fan of Masamune Shirows works.

When you finish it, would you mind letting me animate it for practice?

For the FPS view, I reccomend pulling it way back, have a lot less of the stock taking up all that view...feels odd and makes the front end feel puny that way.

Nice work! My only crit is where the stock meets up with the main body, looks a bit blobby, i think it should look more trimmed.
Reminds me to get off my ass and back on my appleseed project..
