Male Character

I started working on this fella for a project and was hoping to get some opinions on things like silhouette/ proportions etc.

The textures are just placeholder so I could get a feel for how I want him to look.

Basically what I was told to create was take an existing real person (a stuntman) and create it in a cartoon/def jam style ... ><

I like doing the large hand large feet and the stumpy legs but I was reminded by my client that the character I was creating was supposed to be tall... does he seem.. tall to you guys?

He does look like he'd be a pretty big guy.

Is he a Polynesian or Pacific Islander? He has a a bit of that look about him.

Yeah he looks pretty big, though big is relative, if you really want people to see that his big you might want to create a small environment for the guy. Camera-angle also helps support the feeling of a "big/large" character. Nice work!

the hands seem too big and the head seems to be too far towards the back, as if he's dodging a hit with his head or something .

I agree about the neck thing for sure Japhir I'll be sure to fix that asap.

As for ethnicity I believe he is half white half black, here is one of the ref images (I prob should have posted earlier) that I was given.
