Been working on this guy for some time now, thought id post and get some feedback:)

I think the body looks great, I think the leg texture doesn't. To me, the texture doesn't read very well, I don't really get what the bands of noise around the legs are. But to re iterate, really like the body.

Looks awesome. I agree with James comment about the legs. Maybe try doing a gradient where it starts off lighter toward the foot, and darker toward the body? Also paint some lighting into the legs, they look pretty flat at the moment. I LOVE the white/purple combo and the skin pattern dealie on its back.

Looking nice! One of my biggest criticisms is that the thorax (I like to call it goo sack) isn't shiny/slimy enough. It looks sort of like sparkly sand right now from most angles.

though i'd do few things- add him lil hair to the legs and body
and some cool(white maybe?) pattern to his back. here is some photos, i've found for you

Looks good but I agree it could use a little bit of hair.

I think you could stand do a little bit of texture work on the cephalothorax where the legs connect. Right now it seems very clean, and maybe that's how they actually are or could be, spiders come in all sorts. But I think it'd help to make the area right around where those legs connect a little darker, grimier looking, something just to make it feel a little more "ew this is real".

Edit: Oh, also, very back legs could stand to be bigger/longer. Pretty typical of spiders (though admittedly, not all) to have front legs, and back legs as the longest/most prominent. This isn't a necessity, just something I think could help make it seem more spidery. Example, Another Example
