Arkane Studios is seeking talented and highly experienced Level Architect to join our team in Lyon, France to work on a unannounced AAA project. Responsibilities: Answering to the Lead Environment Artist and to the Art Director, you will take care of the:
- Creation of level assets from the initial blockout, light pass, placement of assets created by other artists (props, textures...).
- At the heart of the level creation process you will respond to the needs of prop artists, while staying within the constraints of level designers in charge of gameplay.
Requirements: - Good observation skills, technically minded and strong graphical culture (photography, cinema and painting).
- Ability to translate 2D designs into a 3D playable level.
- Traditional art training, you know how to draw and understand color.
- You're passionate about video games and have an excellent understanding of spacial constraints for a game balanced between gameplay, esthetics and performance.
- Relevant experience with Unreal is preferred (mod experience accepted as well).
- Good English communication skills (verbal and written).
