Some of you may remember the Tavern from my old
thread. I decided to create a full blown environment for it. Kinda ambitious, I know :P
My aims at the end of the project is to get comfortable with using UDK including kick-ass normal baking workflow and leet texturing skills, AND have an awesome environment for my portfolio ^^
I'm not sure if the style will fit perfectly with the already pimped fable-architecture which is hyper-realistic medieval me thinks. But I tried to put down an image of how I saw the scene working together with the tavern itself.

Not very good at paint-over-ing as you can see. Trying to give a rough idea, haha.

Sadly nothing much to comment on, I say maybe play around some more with foliage, have some overgrowth climbing up the walls, maybe add a dock (don't know if that would be taking away from the focal point)... maybe some street lamps, stuff like that just to flush it out some more.
I'm also loving how more recently people are using Adam's thread as a template, hopefully this continues (i gotta do that more hardcore next environment piece I work on).
Anywho, can't wait to see moar dood!

I think dock and street lights are in! I was unsure about the dock for I thought it would clutter up the scene a bit too much, but on a second thought, I think I will make it a very small one so it doesnt distract too much.
