crazybump version to buy?

Hi I have tried the crazybump trial and now expired , pity couse I was loving it , now I am without it and cant use , now I am a student and hobby modder , I do casual works I do sell in SL but I didnt use ever normal maps or the like there just diffuse maps , I was instead using the maps created with crazybump to learn the new ( to me ) maps systems of modern games to make a crysis level on blue mars , may be one future I could even sell some stuff made like that but for now not and I dunno yet , so wich licence should I buy ?

I would look at it this way, if you're doing 99% non-professional work and you're a student, get the student version! When you start making money, you'll be able to afford to upgrade your license. I'm sure Ryan would rather have you paying for a student licence then not using the app at all.

I am a student but not of art colledge I am making engeneering , I seen that I need to put the institution there but dont know what to place there , I just falled in love with Crazybump so much .... I did and redid normals so fun ....

Buy the bum license... To the OP though, If you are a student get the student edition. It's not that expensive... I did and use it daily.

Can I suggest looking into Xnormal as well. It's free, but has a slightly steeper learning curve and not quite as much customization in creating maps (like no specular etc.).

I've been thinking about this, and once you're out of school you're supposed to buy a personal license, right? I'm sure Ryan isn't too strict about this, but it does sound like the correct thing to do.
