Hey All,
So, I've decided to try my hand at a concept I saw online that I thought was awesome. Its for the upcoming game Deus Ex 3 by Eidos Montreal. Anyhoo, I don't know who the concept artist is, but I really liked this environment, so I've decided to go ahead and model it for shits and giggles. Hopefully more giggles than shits though :poly124:
I've made some HP tilesets to use to bake out some normals and AO for a few tileable textures that I will end up making.
Enjoy!
I will post more as I make some progress, I've just started

Here it is. If any of you know the artist that created this, give him a pat on the back!!
I've started blocking out the main shell of the interior, and layed out some UVs for certain areas.
Got a ways to go!
Here's a quick update. Please ignore the really crappy lighting on the second image... Actually speaking of the lighting, anyone know a good way of rendering out GI/Radiosity for interior scenes? Or a good tutorial for it??
Awesome sauce man
I know its earlier, but maybe you could do a quick lighting setup to maybe get a sense for the mood? Maybe... maaybbbbe...
Jason, once I get it into UDK, I think that's when I'll start muckin about with the tone/mood. Rendering that kind of thing out of Max is pretty time consuming. Time that I could be using to create content
I hope to see your lighting blocked out and some textures soon !
Had a bit of a slack day today, so I didn't get much done. I blame Dragon Age and my lack of self control for that
I'm hoping to get onto doing some textures soon. Still blocking in a few proxy objects and stuff right now though. Updates soon
I've gone in and layed out some proxy objects to define the scale of the main props, like the tables, power generator etc.
I think I'm at a far enough point now where I can start to move forward with this, and actually get some texturing and highpoly props going.
Cheers!
I got the main shell into unreal, but its unlit, so I'm not going to show it quite yet. But here's the begginings of my highpoly for the Generator thingy in the middle background of the concept.
Cheers!
Moving on to the mechanical arm next.
Is this based off a concept?
Its based off of the concept that is at the beginning of this thread. Big Metal Generator thingy in the middle of the room. There's a mechanical arm that's attached to the top of it, that looks as though it moves around the upper most ring.
