District 9 arc gun

I started an arc gun from distrct 9 to give myself a bit of a modeling challenge and try and solve some problems to become more comfortable with maya's modeling tools. i don't have much yet but heres what i have so far. There are many inaccuracies and im far from being done but i hope i learn some things along the way.

looking good ... can you showplease an unsmoothed wire ...it isnt clear to me how you made the upper holes...

Lookin great so far man, keep at it! I think the area above the trigger looks kinda bland in comparison to what the film prop actually looks like, but I can see thats a difference in the concept.

yea i was following more the concept, but the movie prop looks way cooler right there, i think im going to replace that part for what it looks like in the movie.

this gun has been modeled many times beffor. it wasnt the only one in district 9.

I think i might reuse the some of the parts from this model and make this one when im finished as well
