Since he looks like a somewhat deformed brute, maybe rough up parts of his skin like adding in some battle wounds/cuts/growth on him.
His face kind of reminds me of the brain bug from Starship Troopers for some reason. Perhaps you can align some eyes along where his mouth opens. That way he'll look really ugly.

I think you could make the mats and the overall display a little better, did you wanna show just that image or did you want a 4x view of all sides of the character?
Advice: Don't crop out any part of your model when you put it into your portfolio.
By the way, I noticed between your first two images the right arm shield that was covered by the chain link went missing. You should add that back in. Without it the rings just float over his arm.
haha nice, liking the model so far, dunno about the chain arm-guard, doesn't seem terribly rigid to me, but looks cool nonetheless. Art fight? awesome guys wish you had made a thread where you could both post wip stuff! dunno why people don't do that more on here...
i liked the first one better. if everyone says he needs bigger ears, make them smaller! i really hope you saved the first one, because it's a lot more interesting imo. instead of worrying how he's gonna get around, look at the assets you've really highlighted in the first one.
he's got a big ass mouth, way more central to his face than a normal "fat mutant" (trust me, fat mutants are a class of their own, they're everywhere). he has very small ears, and pretty much no eyes. he's giant.
what all that means to me is that this guy doesn't really care where he's going, just that he's hungry and probably going to eat you if you're in his way. brutes like this are usually peons anyway, maybe some guy pulls him with a chain, i don't know.
the only comment i have on the first one is that it looks like he can't close his mouth, because the lower lip is attached to his chest. it's not a problem though, because the teeth look like they could still chomp down even without the lips moving (which might look cool).
Looking pretty badass. Low poly is great, your bake came through well. I'm guessing you aren't finished texturing yet...the only critique I have right now is on some areas that look like you haven't even touched them yet, so I'll hold back for now
Am I the only one who liked the first concept better for the face? Now he looks a bit too generic, with the open skin from nose to mouth and evil eye. People are most unsettled when they view something familiar yet subtly different, which was a feeling I was getting from the first image.
Oh well, still looks good and I love the blood stains down the front.
I actually agree with Mcic, I was digging the no eyes as well. He was like an unspeakable horror. Now he's just a fat guy who got his face ripped off by a zombie. Still good shit though man.
