THISSSSSSSSS
We've(my wife, her father and I) have redone our basement pretty much from scratch, from less than scratch! It started out as one of those terrible 70's basement with the nasty paneling and disgusting red, blue and orange carpets(i'll get some pix of this up later to do the before and after). We did virtually all of the work ourselves aside from hanging drywall on the ceiling, finishing/mudding the drywall, and installing the carpet, we let the pros take care of that.
We've got a brand new bathroom as well, but there are just a couple small things that need to be added there, and cleaned up before pictures. I've also got a shitload of in-progress stuff that i need to sort through, but its pretty much DONE now and i wanted to throw something up.
All in all we've added about 6-700 sq feet of finished space to our house, which will become 2 nicely sized offices for my wife and I, along with maybe a living room area, the new bath, and a decent sized unfinished workroom as well.

looks great, any plans for it? would make a nice game room.
I wish i had those DIY skills! Nice job.
Arsh: Yeah we've got about 1900 sq feet finished space in our house now, you dont even what to know what we paid for it. It will be office space for me/my wife, along with a living room/den type area. Maybe a bar somewhere in there. We've got some tiny bedrooms that that we've been using as offices(we both work from home-ish) that we'll convert it guest rooms or something.
The carpet is DIRT COLORED, for good reason! =D It actually looks a lot better in person that it does in photos, it looks pretty nasty here.
good job man... can lights are the shit.

all that hard work and money you put into it will pay for itself with the money you saved on killing your PMI (if you had it that is)
