The name Activision kind of sounds like it might be the company that runs a totalitarian, Big Brother, watching-the-citizens-with-hidden-cameras kind of deal. Still evil, just a different flavour, and perhaps one that's a little more appropriate to what Activision are really like.
@Belltann: Yup, I'm going with a backstabbing, cloaked and rotten evil bastard. He's going to be holding a dagger on the arm he's got behind his back.
This is an early basemesh, I'm thinking of having small creepy arms protruding from his back (like 4 of them) but i'm worried he might look like a Mechanicum Adept with that. Of course, the arms would be creepy and not mechanical..
@Jackablade: Heh, I'm mostly using the idea of how I personally see activision, regardless of the name itself. But you are right on the other hand. I'm thinking of doing something with the eyes/one of the eyes so that it better sticks to the name, i guess.
Heh, rausek, that's a great catch. I hadn't thought about blind for years, but I guess the hooded-skeleton figure trying to conceal a weapon behind it's back image must come from that XD. It's fitting too.
Here's the finished basemesh before I start scultping. I've added two withered hands on it's back, one holds an infinity symbol and the other an extra dagger. Also added two placeholder daggers just so that I can model the hands around the grips.
Finally, instead of using yet another skull, like in the concept, I've decided to change it to a gangsta dollar-sign pendant that will be adorned with diamonds. A rather obvious association.
Update with some early sculpting done. Trying out a very basic form for da hood and look for the head.
/edit ah yeah, the eyethingy is very wip and not exactly a placeholder right now. Gonna export the head and reposition the thing later.
Fucking Darkfall Online has me playing all day. Good thing they patched the thing today and I had the time to start working on the model while servers are down.
your sculpt seems veeeeeeeeery busy atm
i would suggest losing at least one of the backarms
the hood should be thinner and to make it look more evil you can make the hood cover the eyes.
Also make it look more dynamic, make him lean more forward , think of the folds and make the cloak spread out over the floor to make it look more interesting
just some suggestions , good job so far so keep it up
