Hi guys!

I would like to share with you something it really make me happy, because of the cyber-technology, like a ghost in the shell fiction.


Five month ago first concert of a famous 3D character for her voice and manly selling a song maker with computer made voice...

You can easily understand the trick, with a transparent wall, they will project the 3D character.
But already was crazy in the idea.



Recently a new concert of the same character, technology increase by 10 and now people are not front of the scene, but around the character.
3D character look real, you are like front of an animation character, and difficult to understand first you will watch the following video, this is real. (yeah virtual but real hahaha)

In the end its still music that is being made by some guy/girl/group, what you see is just to entertain you (beats seeing a guy behind a computer in this case ). SO I dont really think this is a cultural phenomenom, the techn ology just lends itself really well in these cases

what do people see if they walk around the character? does it follow them like a 2d sprite or does it turn flat?

Observe closely Ged, it is a glass sheet they are playing animation on, and possibly hooked up right on the edge of the stage. Usually in this case I assume that the screen does not move at all because it is just planted there. Or if the entire crowd moves left to right the screen would move left to right.

hatsune miku will take over the music world :P she's already taken a huge chunk out of the japanese music industry. Lots of amateur composers are using the software to produce music and in turn, lots of amateur singers are doing covers of them, as well as musicians. What's exciting is people who 2 years ago didn't know each other before this software came out have met and formed really awesome bands through using it. Some have even become professionals.

I think sega is the company behind the 3d portion of these shows, they might also be the concert organizers.

i am no animator but that animi chick moved like she had a stick up her ass.
in the way she danced, sang, and just moved. All her movements seemed very unnaturally stiff.

quite the opposite whe I checked out the gorilliz videos. good venue there.
