I am new to 3d modeling and this forum, hello.
this is a helmet I have been working on, doing a high poly version so I can make some normal maps from it
here is my ref. I wasn't 100 percent faithful to it but I am fairly satisfied with how it is. I plan on making the textures grungy like it is in the photo.

it's looking ok, wireframe images are needed for people to crit topology also intended use is what poly count and texture size?
recommend in the future you represent references closer or give a paint over of intended changes. For a portfolio it's a good idea to be dead-on-balls* with reference (or include your decisions to change things) as this shows discipline/accuracy and viewers will notice the work as intentional and not accident.
