The tip of your sword needs to round off just a slight bit though, like the reference does. The only crit I have other than that is that little detail where the ball meets the blade and that little shell looking detail on the blade - there is some more stuff in there on the ref image that yours is missing.
Here's an updated render. I remodeled the blade because the way I had it before was kinda messed up around the tip which made it difficult to smooth out. Anyway, the blade tip on this one is much better than my previous renders.
You still have some issues with your model so i advice you not to start making any kind of maps and try following your reference more closely.
For example the golden details around the hilt aren't "sewed", there are kinda floating to say so. Maybe it's just me but i also think the scaling is a bit off on the hilt, your object looks much more bloated than the original.

Thanks. I think it looks bloated due to the angle in which I took the screen shot. I'll set up a camera so I can take the snapshot from a fixed position.
