I saw some things that might help out and it just seemed easier to explain them with an image. You are missing the curved detail above the eye, but I know this is still wip. Main things I notice was a lot of your edges are straighter and thicker than they are in your reference.
What you have so far is good, if you carry on and take this through to a complete textured prop this could be a real nice portfolio piece.
Good start. You should make the top part of the help rounder. Look at your reference, it is very round, yours almost seems blocky. Smooth, but blocky. I've also noticed alot of edge loops in your lower-poly version around the eye holes. Are those simply there to keep the sharper edge when you apply the turbosmooth/meshsmooth?
Also, work on making the faceguard rounder as well. Right now it is smooth, like the top part, but not round. Apart from that, you are off to a great start! Keep it up!
P.S. I know this isn't part of your reference, but horns are something I've always pictured as viking-ish. Just my two cents though!
The tops is more rounded, the sides are thinner and the eyes hole looks a bit different.
Check the size of the sides too, maybe they re a bit too big. Also, your model seems a bit too broad for me.. the other one is a tad longer in vertical. Nose guard it also seems long to me...
Hope it helps you
those bumpy bits go all away around to the edge - yours end early. and howcome they arent straight or was that part of your design?
seems you've got a bit of pinching on the cheek part, see what you can do about that

You have some smoothing imperfections on the inside of the plate that goes over the side of the face.
The little oval extrusions above the eyes stick out too far, and in the reference they are rounded.

anyway keep it up, looks like its taking shape
I got to bake normals now.
ditto!
