I already add a message on Autodesk website but Polycount is always better then
http://area.autodesk.com/forum/autodesk-maya/autodesk-maya-2009/application-error---0x2fc27a8
I am having a very bad issue with Maya 2009-64 bits while already 3 days…
Every 10 or 20 min Maya will crash and sometime I am just doing.... nothing… just crashing…
Error is the following one :
maya.exe - Application Error
The instruction at 0x02fc27a8 referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be read.
Click on OK to terminate the program
OK
Does someone one knows how to resolve this problem?
This morning I uninstalled and installed again Maya from the DVD of my pacakge but it didn’t change anything O_o....
I also did a virus scan with AntiVir, but there is nothing bad on my computer.
This is currently very difficult to work.... then I would be very glad if someone could help me on this bug…
Really thank you by advance,

and test the hdd's.
ok I wil ltry that afternoon : http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp
I will buy a floopydisk before because I do not want to bun a disk for this shit XD
roooaaa I didn't listen this sound for 4 years? more?? you cannot imagine the feel I had when I formatted the floppy disk!!! lot of flashback!! XDDD...
Anyway ...
Result :
- memtest86+ doesn't want to run on window 7 -64.. seems to be a 32 bit version... then I cannot create the boot version for usb or floppy.
- official Microsoft plug in : it crashes when asking to create the boot from the Floppy and say disk error.... but my floppy driver work very well.
Finally I found a Memory test application running directly under windows but testing the not used memory. Then I close all and launch the test...
After 5h no error found.
I also did a HDD check from the DOS command and same... no error.
And then... after this loooong test... I started maya 2h ago... and didn't crashed yet....
I am probably the only guy having this error on the world...
Google is empty with a 0x2fc27a8 research.
Then I formatted and installed Windows 7-64 yesterday and Maya is healthy!
