God damn man did you program it all alone ? ( I'm noob programer...whatever)
That's really awesome!!!
Where did you learn that?
90% is my work yes. I got some C++ classes at school (well some, they were pretty hardcore). Never any shader stuff, but now they teach that too at my school. I just researched it myself mostly.
Thanks hazard an anuxina, that's very nice to hear. I don't really hear all that much about people using it: sometimes I find people mentioning it on other forums and once every two months somebody might email me their work with it. Never gave me the impression it's the default shader out there
For 3dsmax it definately is the best shader you can get, it has every feature needed and looks awesome.
It´s just like marmoset, your stuff just looks better with it.
I don´t know a good alternative to replace your shader in regards to 3dsmax,
No no, FX composer is completely different. It's almost like a sort of Visual Studio for shaders, if you will. You don't really need it to develop them (I just use Notepad++), but it can help when doing serious development.
Sometimes it worth reading whats written on the website or even watching the Youtube video on the site (they have some introduction videos there)
Anyway just check out all the good links here
to get a personal overview of whats available and then decide for yourself whats best for you, kinda like using your own brain instead of stereotyping.
