same shit happened to me at work. well, i dont know if the date got changed, but after an update, it asked me to restart. then it asked to be verified. i skipped it because i didnt know the serial # and the background was black and it said "not genuine copy" o rsomething on the bototm right.
Ya, that happened (is happening) to anyone with a pirated version or is still running the release candidate. I've had a real copy for a while, but was too lazy to reinstall.
No biggie, I'm just finishing up some programs (and steam downloads) now on the new install, and it's all workin again.

Nvidia has a tool in the nView Desktop Manager that allows you to choose a pic for each screen. Problem is, after I set up my desktop with that, I then ran UT3 and my desktops where screwed. Dunno why it happened.
Ultramon lets you manage different sets of desktops each set has an option to spread it across both or assign one image to each.
It also has some other great features like extending the task bar onto the second screen and seperating the windows in the taskbar on each screen. Also gives you some nice icons to quickly move one window to the other monitor. It also makes retrieving windows easy if you ever find yourself back on one with windows out in limbo.

How did you manage to get her in a pic high res enough for a wallpaper? Silent film actresses are always grainy and small in size on teh interwebs.
My favorite website has very high-quality scans from a bunch of old movies. I get all of my backgrounds there.
