[3ds Max] doesn't start up anymore, Winpatrol?

Hey guys,

I recently installed Winpatrol and got rid of some programs in my startup list and now everytime i try to start up 3ds max 2009 i see the mouse loading a while but it doesn't do anything. If i check out the active processes it says 3dsmax is running.

So:
-is there a startup file necessary to run 3ds max?
-if yes > how do i get it back
-if no > any other ideas?

I hope someone can help me, i felt like working on MoP's goblin SDK some more .

Sounds like it killed the licensing service. If you go Start > Run > msconfig > Services Tab, make sure "autodesk Licensing Service" is set to start up.

If that's not the case you might have to reinstall it =/

damn it doesn't show up in that list, not even as not-checked. .

which sucks because i have 3ds clean installed, and lots of other plugins..

Oh crap it sounds like it nuked the registry key. Maybe doing a repair instead of install might put it back, if you knew all the info and where the key was you could create it manually, but that's a dicey operation...

Does Winpatrol have an undo feature?

i can add a program to the startup list, but i have to fill out the path to the .exe, which i obviously don't know...
googling "winpatrol undo remove program" doesn't really seem to turn up anything.

Got it working again,
it wasn't listed as a "startup program" but under "services", so i could just enable the auto run again and now everything is fine again .

Try AnVir Task Manager. It shows everything running on a computer. I've been using it for about 4 or 5 years on a couple of pc's, and I've been really happy with it
