Virtual Air Guitar Company is currently looking for talented freelance 3D environmental and character artists to work on an exciting console game project. We're looking for artists or a team with eye for stylish graphics. Work starts soon.
Our current project is full body controlled fighting game, which makes use of novel in-house next generation computer vision technology. Game is inspired by 70s kung fu movie era, set in a world between real and fantasy.

Position summary:
- Create high quality 3D content for console game.
- Work is off site and freelance, paid on basis of created assets.
Requirements:
- We are looking 3D generalists/artists that have understanding of level environments.
- We're also looking for artists able to create real-time characters from start to finish.
- You should have a portfolio demonstrating high quality game art, preferably finished game environments and/or characters.
- We're aiming for stylized look so ability to adapt is a must.
- Understanding of current generation game content development processes.
- Good knowledge of 3d sculpting, modeling and texturing, both high- and low-resolution content.
- Proficient in 3dsmax.
- Zbrush, mudbox or 3d-coat expertise is a must.
- Understanding of visual storytelling, lighting and rendering.

- Self motivated, ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Follow given direction.
- Fluent written English and good communication skills.
- Interest and knowledge of fantasy genre and pop culture.
- Meet deadlines and milestones in time.
Essential responsibilities:
- Work based on existing concept art and written descriptions.
- Create finished 3d content.
- Sculpt environment and character models, create low-polygon meshes, unwrap, texture and setup skin weighting.
- Work and communicate with art director in process of content creation.
