This is a current project I am working on for my final major assesment it is still in its early stages however I am nearing to completion for the modelling aspect. feedback/critique is more than welcome as I am trying to push my self to a higher standard of work.
For the actual scene itself will be taken eventually into UDK. the next major step is to start texturing the scene, recently I have been melting my brain over learning to use Norm/Spec/Diffuse maps correctly so if anyone has any pointers or tutorials please throw them my way. I will try and use as realistic textures as possible, I also wish for the scene to have a natural grubby, dirty and genral use look to it.
Here are a few quick shots of what I have so far.

*Edit*
I am currently undertaking the monsterous job of uv mapping the whole entire scene, would it be easier to break it down into assets and save them into thier own maya files and then porting them to UDK?
what's you plan on lighting and texturing ?
Also a very quick (5 min) sketch up texture for a door.
Going to crack on tonight and maybe get a few more objects textured and throw them into UDK for a general feel of the scene. Any thoughts on how to keep my scene grimey and worn without taking away the general feel of the scene?
I'm relatively new using UDK so at the moment i've gotten so far as importing my assets, using the texture editor, particle systems and Kismet + Matinee to make a deathmatch map. Although I have had good reviews on my work within UT3 engine genrally I'm about at the point to get under the bonnet of the engine and have a good tinker.
so I don't really understand any of that but bear with me I will look into it..
just another confusing aspect to throw in for me to learn :poly122:
