A new question arrised that I cant seem to figure if possible. Can I copy a uv set from one mesh and paste it into another. I know I can trasnfer uvs in maya but it only works when both meshes have the same poly count. I have two meshes that basically will use the same texture and one is a altered version where parts of the mesh have been removed. Both have the same normal uv set but I recently added a 2nd lightmap set and now want to copy it to the alterned mesh. It seems I may have to reduplicate the mesh and remove the uneeded parts and rename.
Thanks.

1. Select your mesh with the correct UVs, and then the mesh with the bad UVs.
2. Now go to Mesh -> Transfer Attributes, then set Vertex Position, Vertex Normal and Color Sets all to "Off", and leave "UV Sets" as "All" (or Current if you only want the current selected one).
3. Then make sure Sample Space is set to "World", and click Transfer.
Works fine for me here on any arbitrary mesh. I suspect you have the Sample Space set to "Component"?
