Ahh PR reach arounds... they're great.
No offense to the area I'm sure its a great place to live and work, but I think I threw up a little with all the sugary civic pride they shoveled in there. For once could they do a piece on Texas without the cliche bumper sticker slogans?
The tech hub torch gets passed every few decades. Once everyone starts moving there, prices go up, wages stay the same and companies open up new hubs in cheaper places "in case of disaster" or "so we can quadruple our output". Then because of "redundancies we're laying people off". Once the cost of housing gets up there... its time to start packing.
Para: My thought is Vigil is too new a studio to show up in an article like this. They typically go for the big safe bets. I can think of several studios that could have been included but weren't. It's not supposed to be a definitive guide, just some fluff is all.
Vig: I love big broad sweeping generalizations too. They are awesome.
