Hi, i've been modelling and texturing this house over the past few days. Upon opening the file from saving last night the roof of the individual sections has turned black, and I have no idea why...If you zoom in you can _just_ see that the texture is actually there, i've tried reversing normals but it doesn't seem to fix it...
I'm thinking it may have something to do with self illumination on those faces only, but i'm not sure how to fix it. I've attached a link to the obj and mat file below, there's also a screenshot so you can get a better idea of what i'm talking about. Please ignore the untextured other section of the roof, i'm still working on that.
Any help would be appreciated, even if its to tell me how big of a noob I am and the simple fix

This is odd. The first time I tried, I was able to fix it by reversing normals ... Normals -> Reverse ... click the option box and go Edit -> Reset Settings just in case you've changed them. This is good to try when a tool isn't working like you think it should - or you just don't know what the settings mean and you're afraid you've changed them.
But then I went back to do it again and had trouble until I tried Normals -> Unlock Normals
It fixed the shading, but gave me hard edges all over object. It's easy enough to change them to soft (select inner edges you want soft and Shift-Right-Click -> Soften/Harden Edge -> Soften Edge).
don't reverse them
delete any history before saving...may have jacked some noise up with all the texture/uv editing.
