Right, Figured i should start a SketchBook, Seeing as i have a proper assignment for my traditional art section of my 3d course, with a proper breif n shiz!
so anyway the brief for this assignment is bassically we're given to animals at random and we have to Splice them together, etc blah blah, give them a prop, character sheet, lots of sketches blah blah blah, so anywho, i got a Kangaroo and a Buffalo/Bison, pretty cool, got some ideas n stuffz, but now, onto the sketches, so far all done in PS, as i dont have a scanner, Boo!
I Started with doing some learner Sketchs to learn the shape and flow of the two differnt Creatures.
Next i started to throw the two together, Here is the Inital Sketch so far!
And here it is with its Prop, which is a saddle, so my creature for this itteration is going to be a Beast Of Burden!
All C+C is most deffinatly welcomed, and any more ideas of how to Splice these two animals together in differnt ways would be aweshum!!

Another way to splice em eh? Can you exaggerate the features? I would look at some lanky werewolf references and base it off that. Powerful back legs, long lanky arms, hunched. Keep action lines in mind when you make your new creature. Try to keep the weight distributed. The Buffaroo would be a pretty hefty animal...
Good luck on your assignment, Hope this helped
and that sounds pretty cool, an yea, you can exadurate features all you want, so long as there based of those 2 animals
Just a quicky
Evil BuffaRoo!
Just some random Poses to take my mind of other work
