My Warthog WIP

Started this a couple weeks ago off and on, and I'm running out of ideas so I thought I would post it up here to see what you guys think:)

It's kind of my own thing btw, I followed references from the games, to jeeps, to fords so it's not really suppose to be a direct copy of the game model.

Is it meant to fit the specification size of the warthog, because there are strange sizes all over the place, the door part is tiny as well as the gun, it looks a bit buckled in the front. nice start though!

It looks cartoony and cute, I kinda like the proportions. The gun could be more exagerated though if you want to keep that style.

Did you render this out in mental ray? I need to render out my high poly of something I'm working on and I want to get some nice contrast and detail out of the render.

the windshield looks strange, and to be honest, I think it might be more interesting without one. I also agree with ZacD, the gun should be BIGGER, or atleast the shield.
The general shape of the vehicle is very curvalinear, which doesn't coincide with military applications. I would suggest making it some kind of dune buggy that was adapted for violence. Slapped on armor pieces, etc.

No it wasnt rendered in mental ray, its just a skylight with lighttracer

I think you guys are right about making the gun quite a bit bigger

oh and there isnt suppose to be a door at all, i guess those lines just give the impression there is

It wasn't meant to be cartoony but it was meant to be a more stylized version, kinda turned out like an RC version of the hog though I guess haha:\

rescaled some parts to make it les cartoony based on some of the replies
