A character from a personal project i have been developing over the last year. I've been sitting on a bunch of this stuff for a while now but with a new baby I'm not sure when I'll have the time to see it through, so i figured I might as well post!
A couple of paintings of the world this dude lives in.
Lovely. I really like the aesthetic of WW1 tech these days, although I can see a mish-mash of a lot of styles going on. The footsoldier seems to be carrying some kind of ghoulish jack-in-the-box that reminds me of Beetle Juice.
Are you working towards a final product with this project (short movie? game demo?), or are you just trying to flesh out a personal "universe" of some kind?
Love your stuff - great proportions on this guy and I love the sculpting on the cloth and the layering you've achieved with the different garments. Congrats on the baby!
Holy crap, that's just awesome. Everything's just spot on; colors, proportions, visual interest. The only suggestion might be to lighten the bandages in the texture a tad, so they read more clearly.
Aside from that, I'd love to see you continue to build upon the other paints you did (that flamethrower guy looks rad).
only thing that stands out (or doesn't) is how hard it is to tell the cloth parts apart, slight upping of contrast between them might be handy. It might just be the strong, light background making it a little harder to tell apart tho.
and those paints look awsome too dude, really hope you flesh out more of this project :poly142:
AimBiZ: I do have a story behind it, I'm actually pretty happy with it, but I'm not ready do divulge everything yet. :P
Slainean: It's a game, well, the foundation of a demo, just me and a programmer at the moment so progress is really sloooooooow. Now that i have even less free time it's been put on the back-burner in favour of a more feasible evenings and weekends project.

Color composition for that tank is beautiful!
Yes, plz, post more stuff about this project.
Hope to see more from you (someday)!
how long do we have to wait for that second guy?

I assume your concept was WW2 with a little improvization. On which you did great!!

Can you tell us more about your concept, and where you got the idea from?
