There's been a ton of new portfolios up here - some real great stuff too!
I finally did a redesign on my site, after a few years of going the album route. I'm happy with the new setup and I cleaned up a bunch of work, and even made a bunch of new renders!
Updated Portfolio:
..I do realize a lot of it has been seen on this forum already, but this is just me wanting to share
Some few picked images:
Also a peek at something new I've started...
Hope you guys enjoy!

Some comments, the fading and de-blurring isn't cool, it just makes your work look worse until its rolled over.
No low poly work?
I'm not gonna crit to much the modeling looks good but I will paraphrase from a conference I went to where two hiring managers for game companies were speaking about what they look for and they basically said, "Show off your low poly work as best as possible thats really important, and for the love of god I don't want to see anymore cars."
NoChance: it's not really so much about the objects that are modeled, they demonstrate a lot of different shapes and technical abilities with modeling. Also, there's the low poly versions of the cars that he shows on his portfolio
I'm fappin with Rens... but totally seperate in a non-gay kind of way...
Amazing stuff, I was thinking that the straight-rendered pieces without texture would benefit from a stronger render/mat setup - it does look a little clay render.
Moar please
Dam artem is such a cool name - it's like right out of comic books..nice tie!
Also, NoChance, what the hell, such hating on cars? There are far less decent car/vehicle portfolio's then there are character portfolio's, almost like 10:1, yet nobody's complaining about that... (anyway no offence to you).
Well if you won't I'll fap to it in a gay way then.
Awesome stuff X-Convict.
Still waiting on that new rendering setup tut for the engine and bikes. pullleaze.
why'd you take a photo of your screen?
Very nice hi-poly skills, not much to crit really I like the new website design too. Thanks for sharing
I can't offer any critique... you're too good.
I second this!
but ya know you should do a tutorial or general runthrough of your workflow on making them!
Lol, I have no problems with cars and I think his look badass. I actually had been working on a car when I heard the hiring managers say that and started going through peoples portfolios and seeing how many people modeled cars and decided to switch. You have to figure if a hiring manager looks at 5 different peoples portfolios and they all have a car the person who does it the best wins, while if you do something different and original you don't draw direct comparisons and you also get more points for creativity I think.
The comment wasn't directed at him at all, it was more directed at people who are looking at his portfolio and going "dude that car is awesome I'll model a car for my portfolio", which unless you can do one and make it look that awesome, isn't generally the best idea. Because imagine if you applied for a job and he did, and you both modeled cars......... that would suck.
Great stuff!
I like the website a lot better now. A lot quicker to see all your eye candy which is a good thing Layout is great, the only crit I would have is on the two thumbnails of the bikes, on the black background they are on right now parts of them are just blending into the background and getting lost. Its hard to clearly define what some areas are. Then again its just a thumbnail.
I really need to find out where you sit at work and come by and absorb all your skills and powers!
The reason I have a phone picture of the new car is I took it a while back while using my new computer which is not hooked up to my network or internet, and I was too lazy to transfer it via USB. It's very WIP though, so I figured it wouldn't be a big deal.
ZacD - Look through the Gallery again and you'll find quite a few lows with textures. I work on game assets everyday - so trust me I have plenty (just can't show them)
Xoliul - Yep, the blue renders with textures are baked - I had a normal map screenshot of it.
It has a diffuse/normal for the body, wheels, and interior, plus a small detail map. Same with the other LP730 car.
Firebert - Awesome. I kind of want to get him a black + white one as a friend..
Hey thanks Anthony! You sit by Sussman don't you? There's still quite a few new guys I haven't met yet, I'll drop by tomorrow though!
Actually some image updates. I found a couple weapons done for a potential project over a year ago - the concepts were done by Grant Gosler (Lead Concept Artist @ Terminal Reality).
In engine:
Low & AO:
High:
I actually have the low done of this but haven't textured it.. maybe one day..
High:
The rifle turned out great as well. Very cool design.
Do you still have those concepts I would love to see them, or any concepts from the project? The style reminds me of a steam punk or van helsing-ish theme, the whole 1800's but futuristic kinda deal, I'm really into that stuff.
NoChance - I'll have to touch base with Grant about posting his work first. He has a ton though, really inspirational well done concepts.
Found another old piece - I still like some of the high, texturing is out of date for me now.. but I tried out Marmoset finally.. so I took at pic.
it took me a good 10 seconds before i realized it wasn't a spaceship... Shitty temp monitor with zero black levels so all i saw was the grey and orange bits = WIN!
BTW great looking gun, the just got pulled out of the blender texture on the top hurts it alot. But the gun has a very solid and real feel to it.
1. your folio.
2. your vehicles.

New..
