WTF is up with titles like Mass Effect and MW2 having no XBox controls set up on the PC version despite having XBox versions out there? Is there any way that the code is there, that can be accessed by a patch? If not, what do you guys do instead? I'll probably need a third party program anyways, for older PC titles.

I'd rather play it with the keyboard, but that's just me. Kinda lame on them.

umm mass effect and mw2 are first person shooters(well at least in part) so they are in fact easier with keyboard and mouse...well I find them easier though I do have a xbox360 controller pluged in. All other ported games Ive got seem to work fine with the controller

found this on google - any help ? http://meforums.bioware.com/viewtopic.html?topic=679237&forum=127

Why would one do that Oo

As far as I remember, the controls for mass effect 1 and I guess 2 as well were altered for the pc version and at least played really great with 1.

I use GlovePie for games that do not support the 360 controller. Played through a few rounds of L4D1 and 2 with the WiiMote as well. I set up the nunchuck for my movement (analog stick)/weapon switching (buttons) and still use the mouse for aim and firing.

I play FPS on PC with Xbox360 controller too. Ever since I fucked up my right arm/shoulder really bad when I wanted to finish Bioshock as soon as possible. It hurt for like a week and it never got back to the same way. I still feel it when I try to lift my arm above my head. So I use a controller, less strain. Same reason I model with a Wacom.

    Just sayin.

Yeah, we had that debate back in 2004 at my last job. Played UT2k4 with a PS2 controller via Elecom USB adapter and mouse for aiming. After a few rounds, I was used to it and was playing like normal.

There was a guy I met playing quake at a lan party who used a controller 100%. He wiped the floor with everyone in the room and online. _MNGYBeast_ or something like that was his name, and he's the one that got me interested in doing it.

So really the method of input isn't important.

I am a console guy! I stoped playing games on my PC since like Half Life 1/Counter Strike....

I would love to pit my PS3 paddle against some PC people in a game. If a game gives me fully customizable controls, I would rather have a PS3 over w,a,s,d,e!

It is just a different skill set.

Except he didn't play in any taunys or professionally Lamont? watching top halo3 players is really interesting but at the same time youre looking at a game thats built for it and around it. I highly doubt that TF2 would play the same at all, with with the fast 360's and multitasking required.

Still, if youre not playing for the sake of being good theres no harm in sitting on your arse away from the pooter \o/

lol how does someone do that?? :D

Cheers Luke, playing Psychonauts with my 360 wireless now thanks! :)

Also nice idea Lamont...if I had a Wiimote lying around I might try that. Is glovepie still tricky to set up?
