Hey All,
Just put a website together to have an online version of my portfolio handy.
I'm currently looking for work as a Senior / Lead Environment Artist.
Any crits / comments about the site layout / design would be appreciated. Due to the nature of most of my content being professional work, wireframes / texture flats aren't included/allowed.
I'll be adding more personal work in the coming weeks which will have wireframes/texture flats/bling etc etc.
Cheers!

Site works fine for me, though a few things stood out.
You might as well put your resume info on your resume html in addition to having doc and pdf links.
Perhaps separate your title image into two parts where the left side links back to your index.html as it does now and the right side links to your email address with a mailto tag.
The dumpster really stands out with it's blinding white background, you might want to add a slight gradient like the rest of your work.
Best of luck with your job hunt
EDIT:
You might also want to change your title tag from "Andrew-Wood3d" to something more like "Andrew Wood - Online Portfolio" or "Andrew Wood - Lead Environment Artist". So that when the HR people add your link to their favorites it automatically has a bit more info in it.
Its always nice to hear good things when throwin work up online
Ben Apuna: Thanks for the Crits. I made some of the changes that you recommended. Looks pretty good I'd say Thanks again!
Cheers!
BCG fill that Lead Environment Artist position yet?
I'm hoping for the best
Currently I'm going to beef it up with some more photoreal / unreal stuff... Just gotta get rippin on it!
Cheers!
Right now, you're an environment artist looking to fill in a lead role. And, while you may have that that role in the past, including it on the site comes off a bit presumptuous.
/2 cents
You may have a point there... Hmmm... good thing there's the delete key I think I'll revise it now that you mention it.
Fixed. Thanks for the input!
Well most of the credit for the art style goes to Steven Olds. He was an amazing concept artist / art director! I loved his style, so inspiring!!
Glad that the game's art stuck with you! Good to know the guys at Rockstar made an impression
I've been working non-stop for... jeez... like 10 years now I think? So I haven't had a whole lot of time to devote to my own works. But soon! Real soon I'll have some stuff on the go!!
Cheers!
Adding box art to your resume page was a neat idea.
I look forward to seeing some personal work from you.
Your website navigated well, it was fast and easy. Good luck! Like everyone else said, you shouldn't have too much trouble with the job hunt .
You might want to check this out me thinks ;]
Thanks for the good feedback.
Unfortunately, I had to take down some of the images off my site for legal reasons. So now I really gotta get hammering on some personal work to fill in the blanks now.
The only thing I would recommend changing is the order of things with your work. I think you should have your best work first, and imo I like the bully environments the most. This is more of a personal preference thing probably so take it with a grain of salt, but that's my 2 cents anyways.
That was originally the plan. I had some images up there that I was pretty proud of, but due to legalities, I had to remove them from my site... So I will need to re-organize it a bit for sure.
Progg,
Thanks man! Glad you like!
yeah I was surprised to see TOR stuff on your site ^^ since it wasn't official screens. Great work though!
Yeah... There was a miscommunication on my end about that. But its removed now, so, hopefully water under the bridge.
