Bacn polycounter lvl 13
Hello everyone, it's my first post on the forums. I've been modeling a bit for a few years now and I still have a long ways to go so I decided to sign up here.

Anyways, this is my entry for the current workshop. Already blocked out the basic shape. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    I added a bit of detail to my model. I have a bit of issues adding everything, though. Some parts I just didn't know how to add to my model effectively. I missed one of the bolts on the handle because I didn't know any way to add a hole to a non-flat surface without the subsurf getting angry at me. I also didn't know any way to make the bolts all uniformly round, but you can't really tell very much by the image. There was also some odd artifacts forming on the bolts, but again it's hard to tell in the render.

    Don't be worrying about smaller details like that just yet. You still have a way to go in refining the overall shape; the extra geometry will only make this difficult for you.
