I wanna make a shit tone of boulders and rocks in a short amount of time. Is there a script out there that does this?

What app?

What tri count?

How big?

How close will the player get?

What kind of rocks?

Rounded river rock, craggy blobs like a gold nugget, sheets of flaked off slate? Squared off boulders with hard angles? Blast debris or building rubble?

Ideas:
- Quadsphere > Noise
- Box > Sub-d > brush deform > push/pull
- ZSpheres > Sculpt

there is actually tools in modo to do just this, to create rocks, texture them, and place them all over a scene dynamically, all controlled by stacking various modifiers etc. They have a tutorial about it on the luxology website, its geared towards render work but you can bake down just about anything to game spec.
