oh hell yah jack... thanks for the bands. Def be checkin out some of those albums tonight. I love me some bluetech, and blockhead's one of my all-time favs. Music by Cavelight has a special place in my heart. Hadn't heard most of those though.
here's a couple other samples from my torrent pillaging
peace orchestra's album from which that song is edited is pretty decent too... it's kruder from kruder and dorfmesiter, if you know those guys. And if you don't you should... like... now. Also check out library science if you like dubstep, they're a badass seattle band that doesn't get nearly enough exposure, couldn't even find a song on youtube to post.
I'm a huge Power Metal fan, and Blind Guardian is my favorite band... So when they released a new album just recently, you can bet your bottom dollar I've been listening to it way too much. This song is actually the theme song for a game! The lead singer, a 4 octave wonder, did voice acting for the game as well, but from what I heard the game itself was very mediocre. The album however, is fan-fucking-tastic.
"The Official video to 'Lights Out' by Rick Astley. Rick returns with his first single for 17 years. The video was shot at the Manchester Evening News Arena and was directed by British Comedian Peter Kay. The song was written by Andrew Frampton and Rick Astley."
I just love enter shikari. I like that they the rare kind of a consious band that has enough material that tries to attract your atention to yourself, to make you a better person if possible.
Thought you guys might like this: http://dealzon.com/free-stuff
It's a bunch of free stuff in general, but I've been getting a lot of music samplers from there lately. It's a good way of hearing some new artists. I've been digging some of the Lollapalooza stuff that they have there.

Jimi Hendrix
Septemeber 18 will be the 40th anniversary of his death. I just love the ending to this version of Little wing, its like he is making his guitar cry.
Also waiting for my new Ray Lamontagne album to arrive by mail.
