ive gotten as far as restoring the os files to the flash drive, and now i need to make the flash drive bootable. problem is, OSX86 tools wont run on my version of OSX, 10.4.11.
im assuming there is a work around, but some quick googling got me nothing. i should mention im new to apple, so i prob dont have the correct search terms to get what im looking for.

(thats how i install my os's on my netbook)
Also, why are you using 10.4? Leopard (and snow leopard depending on the hardware) are fairly easy to get up and running.
For netbooks, I recommend checking out this site: http://osx.mechdrew.com/ I have a Dell Mini with OSx, that a friend of mine built before trading it to me, and he used that site's easy installer tools.
Also, make sure, if you use 10.6, to NOT update to 10.6.2. Apple screwed with the Atom processor support, and those who have gotten to work, have mixed results.
notman - site looks interesting, ill take a look at it later tonight after work. thanks sir.
