it might be worth scaling the turret up a little,
relative to the size a guy operating those decks would be, it'd be fucking massive even by tank standards
edit: which would look ok, but you've got the scale of the parts like wheels and track width right based on the size of the hull. usually the more crazy massive tanks have similar sized wheels and tracks as heavy tanks but a lot more of them. To me this looks sort of like a charicature considering how enormous those wheels and external fuel reserves would be
I don't have many time to work on this stuff so i'm really slow for updating it, but I'll have some new stuff in one week or so
Thanks a lot for all your interest it helps me find motivation to continue working on it.
@Bal : Tsssssss ! Don't reveal to anybody where i lose all my time !! @EricV : I still have to do some little more stuffs and after that, i'll work on the dj.
FUCK! Awesome, can't wait to see it finished! Also, can you work confortably on it? I mean, there's what, a billion different objects in the scene?! I can't imagine myself working on it without the computer choking every 10 seconds.
That is looking crazy, awesome modelling so far and it's got loads of style too! Second render is a little dark on the underside but meh can see it's detailed enough!
I'm wondering the same thing as felipefrango, I'm pretty sure my pc would be grinding to a slowwww halt
pretty sweet dude-
some things to think about- some of the smaller wires that dont conform to surfaces probably aren't going to be easy to get a clean bake out of, unless you actually straight have them as geometry. Imo that's a lot of little fiddly tris that won`t really be doing much for the silhouette. Then again I`m making the assumption your going to game res with this.
also the proxy pilot mesh seems way to small for me- maybe it`ll look better with more details, but as it stands the balance of large/med/small forms feels extreme in both the large and small ends of that spectrum, but needs more love the medium range.
out standing work so far man- your presentation is kick ass too. I love the textiles on the wall and floor.
whats the story on the single blue crate?
But i agree with Ged about how the dude is way too small. The best way to get it looking right is by having a lot of small speakers at the large spectrum of what normally exists, as a contrast to the larger speakers for it to look right to your average viewer.
Also imagine the turret as the size of a normal tanks turret and size it accordingly. One of the coolest things about the concept is that it seems like it is just a modified hacked together thing from a battle tank, not something custom built from scratch.
Ged:blue crates have records in them... its the law.
wow great idea like it so far! i have to agree tho i think the proxy pilot you have is a bit small, awesome shapes tho, esp crazy about the speaker on the left side of your shot. mad skills here excellent modelling

This is the one piece I am most interested in seeing finished from all the WIP's on polycount recently.
