Sex and violence are always mentioned together in movies and video games, and is what separates movies for PG 13 to R. There's a lot of old pg 13 movies where you can see a bit of tit, but I don't think happens anymore. Sex is better than violence yes. So if you absolutely must compare the two forms of entertainment, I'd agree with his sentiment. But him just blurting that out as a debating argument is pretty sad. What's more sad is a lot of rating systems in the US would disagree with that sentiment. Why do games with extreme violence get the M rating while sex gets an AO!?

Anything I have to say about this has been said already. I'd agree that violence is worse than sex but in context his defense of the porn industry was just absurd. Also, we have to keep in mind that he's pitting his entire industry against a portion of the game industry and using it as a supposedly level comparison.
Working at EB Games, I've come to find that sex in video games is WAY more worriesome to parents. As legally required, when a kid wants to buy a Mature rated game, I have to ask the parent, let them know what's in it, and be sure they still want to buy it for the kid. There are lots of parents that barely hesitate when I say "Intense Violence", but if the kid happened to bring up a GTA game or the like... I get to say, "Strong Sexual Content," and suddenly the parents REALLY care. If they're not sure whether or not to get the game for their little pumpkin, the 'sexual' content is always the cincher.
I don't know which of the two is more 'damaging' to kids, but majority of North American parents out there seem to have decided...

I still think it's more damaging for kids to not see enough sex and violence in entertainment. Both are a pretty integral part of the human condition, and fantasizing about grandiose versions of them has been a standard coping mechanism as far back as civilization goes. It's part of what keeps us from going batshit insane from living so close to so many other people. Suppressing it too much breeds weirdos.
