I'm just starting to develop my almost non existent character modeling skills and wanted to follow a good tutorial so I learn a good method I can reuse on my own projects.
I purchased the XSI version of Swordmaster 2-3 years ago (used it to build a Canadian soldier instead of following it to the T). It was pretty good at the time for box modeling and painting the texture (I was new, and it had plenty of pictures with the steps all explained).
Ok that's good to know, it certainly looks pretty good. I'm glad to hear it's the box style too, my edge extrude skills aren't too bad but i prefer the box modelling method since it's easier to block out without ref planes that way.
I also liked the fact it's pretty old because it's gonna be useful to learn to properly build a character with no intention of high-poly/sculpting which is something I have never attempted, although it looks like it would serve as a good base if I do decide to take it into ZBrush.
Anyway, thanks again for the reply, I'll go get it!
