very nice concept, model, and diffuse map. but Asteric is right. it needs a spec map. also, it looks like the glossyness of this prop is SUPERGLOSS like a bowling ball. i am not sure maybe it just looks like it. perhaps a small gloss map would also do well on top of the spec map.
might be nice to add a few differnt metal types to the laser barrel part. the whole thing being tan makes it look a bit like a wooden table leg or something
yes im working on a spec map..im also working on different metal types for the support flange,holders and of course the barrel part.. metal for me sometimes is difficult to get right and plastic.. i just dont know its like a mental block in my head that i need to overcome.. any one have an issue like this in texturing your objects??
