Wow, I haven't posted here in years. :)

Well, I decided to start doing characters and I've been messing around in Zbrush. This is going to be my first game character, I'd like any crits on making it better since I'm new to this.
She's still missing her blouse and arm bracelets type stuff and other misc items but I though I'd share what I have so far.

ps: I know her hands are messed up some.

Thanks in advance!

i love the idea of the crumpily skirt and the garters going over them, would probably look pretty hot in real life. Im getting more of a post apocalyptic vibe than steam punk, needs more metal bits, buckles and shit, cooler goggles maybe too.

Anatomy wise i think the legs might be a little short, and the torso a little long.

I agree, hips are a bit too low. Interesting design, looking forward to see how this comes out. Cheers :)

agreed on the hips, also might want to post images in perspective if its a 3/4 angle, makes it hard to crit when things are all flattened out. "p" button in zbrush incase you didnt already know ( said you were newish to the program :)) like your ideas so far, the forms of the clothing are pretty nice!

Wow, evillair, long time no see, back in the ol' q-mapping days.

Looking good so far, nice design.
Her face is maybe lacking a bit of character (probably not finished?), and yeah her legs feel a tad short (or her torso too long?) feels like moving her whole pelvis up a bit would balance her out better maybe, not sure.
The clothes and gear should bake down nicely.

Thanks for the replies guys, here's an image of the model in front view with no clothes to help with proportions.
Let me know if it is, I'll try to fix it.

Bal: Yeah, I need to introduce some character to her. Her face is generic right now.

woogity: It is in perspective, maybe the front view may help?

kaburan: it may be the bottom belt making it seem like that? The above image might make it easier to see.

achillesian: hmm, you're right, I need to add some more of those elements to her, I just don't know what yet.

    Thanks again for the help!

    Awesome work so far!

    - I think the skirt is making the crotch look artificially lower than it is?
    - I agree the torso looks a little long and the legs a little short. Mostly the boobs look low. If the neck cloth piece wasn't there it would probably show more.
    - The lower utility belt looks like it might be past the farthest outer point of the hip? If she put her feet together would it slip off?
    - The hands look a little awkward... Probably haven't gotten to them yet?

Keep it up, you have some great sculpting in there and some amazing details.

Vig: -Yeah, the skirt was making it look lower, I raised it some I think it helps.
-I raised the bottom belt higher up.
-The hands are bad, I really need to fix them.

    Here's a small update...

Not sure on the backpack thing, doesn't seem to fit.

really like the feeds and the concept!

the weakest parts are the folds!
    and the face

and.. I would give the backpack some more functional details so it doesn't look so plastic toy like BUT without loosing the simple forms.. me likes them

btw.. I think the old head / goggles had more flair
