It was awful, awful acting especiall tennant. Eurrgh I'm dying oh I'm alright really oh no I'm not. Now, I'm going to wander off and say good bye to everyone in portracted scenes it was almost like the program had started masterbating.
The plot made no sense. Was prollific with deus ex machines. The effects and sets were amateur.
Soon as I saw that stupid 1 person in one person out I knew that's how he was going to die ... that was like in the first episode, as Cal said one of the worst DW eps I've seen in recent years.
yeah, i liked it as a general episode but only having 4 episodes this 'year' and two of which were the final episodes for Tennant left me ambivalent for the future.
hated tennant. All he could do way make his eyes pop like eggs. hate all the modern doctor who episodes. should have left it alone where it belonged
I am currently watching all of the tom baker episodes. still cheesy but good storylines always a winner
Pure awesome. I loved how much Wilfrey and him go back and forth.. the 80 year old human and the 900 year old time lord, both pondering death and what it means to each of them. As Tennant's Doctor put it, he ceases to exist and someone else fills his shoes, so the whole wrap-up,
Spoiler
especially him going to see Rose one last time, before they even met as his final act
was pretty poignant.
I have to say I wasn't to fond of Smith being the new Doctor, heck, he's about my age. Having read up on him since then, though, I think I'm going to give him a chance as he, like Tennant, started with acting in theater and moved to the Doctor role.
I've missed enough of the episodes of both Tennant and Ecclestone's Doctors that I'm thinking I'm gonna sign up to netflix and start renting the seasons, as they cost nearly $70 each otherwise.
So anyone watching the new episodes. Watched the third one today where the airplanes go into space. Really wished they would've devised a plot with some more depth whole thing seemed rushed. Will say though that the new doctor brings some new subtlety to the character no more bombastic in your face spit rants.
I don't understand why they didn't just finish it off at the end of the previous episode. They concluded everything else there, the final episode was not only superfluous, but nowhere near as good the one that came before it.
Anyway, I think the new series with the fella with the big chin starts here in a weeks time. Early reports have all been pretty good.
