After misreading the details I bought a razer naga
http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-mice/razer-naga/ with the expectation it'd come with software which would allow me to map the mouse buttons to various commands in max/zbrush/windows etc.
I love the mouse and the keypad by your thumb is just an awesome idea but it seems there's no way you can assign hotkeys or macros to the mouse buttons for stuff like max. The software and add-ons for it are only for mmo use
I have looked at the autohotkey software
http://www.autohotkey.com/download/ and it seems you might be able to do it through that but looks like a right arse ache to do, is there some universal software with a simple GUI where you can just assign hotkeys to the buttons of any mouse or is it more complicated than that? Anyone use a naga for 3d/digital art?

When it comes to a mouse and keyboard, Microsoft is the only brand I choose because they are the most compatible and reliable.
//btw that thing looks way too complex, imo a mouse should be as simple as possible because you whole hand rests on it making the possibility of pressing the wrong button less.//
Anyway, the right mouse button is all you need in max, quad menu ftw!
