Universal normal map settings would be great, I have high hopes for the tool fozi is working on. Maybe it'll just be the case of keeping object space maps around and running them through that tool with the right export settings.
I also wish there was more custom camera control schemes in different apps. As it is I try to keep all my tools set to the same hotkeys no matter what app it is in, it's definitely not a perfect solution but it helps. Photoshop is the real workflow breaker for me.
I just got my site up (only $10 for a year), trying to do the keep it simple thing, still not finished and I need to get some more work up there. http://zacdonald.com/
I've found that unreals engine isn't good at pumping up normals or spec, so you need to multiply and do other operations like you have started to do, to make them pop more. Open up some actual shaders from Epic to see what I mean.
Gonna try to use zbrush (I'm still not good with it) once I do the subdiv.
So if anyone has any tutorials for using zbrush on something like this let me know.

Should I include an unreal screen shot too or just keep it as it?
