Graphics seem a little odd with some clunky shapes and strange weapons, but that's actually a plus in my opinion, makes me think they might actually be trying to make this fun

If anyone is interested, the website has a mini-game where you're rewarded with a couple of short clips and some concept art (Optimus Prime and Megatron (I think) are in the concept art):
Just go to http://transformersgame.com/ and wait for the intro movie to get done playing - when you're on the screen with the destroyed planet there's a "transmission" thing in the bottom right hand corner with two handles that you need to spin (one controls a yellow ring [the transmission particles], the other a blue ring) to lock on to transmissions.

There's a help thing to that explains what to do if you need or want it.
I really like what they did with the characters. Cybertron as a setting is kind of disappointing for me though. Not that they didn't make Cybertron look cool, but I think the coolest aspect of the Transformers is that they're disguised as vehicles that split apart into massive robots and do battle on Earth. On their home planet, they're not giants and everyone is a robot and every vehicle is just another dude in vehicle form. And then the vehicles aren't Earthly (because why would they be?) so while Bumblebee and Optimus look rad in robot form, when they transform they become some kind of Tron-like alien vehicle thing. That's kind of less exciting.
Check out the War Within comics from Dreamwave to see where a lot of the inspiration came from. Lookin good so far. Always good to hear Cullen as Prime.
Forgot for a few seconds that I was watching a trailer for a game. Would be pretty cool to see a new show or movie in that style. Loved the trailer, hope the game holds up as well.
With success of batman AA using the animated series actors(and just being a great game) I think a bunch of cartoons from the 80's 90's should be made into games using the same cast and writers, without movie tie-ins. It would bring the series we love back and also expose the kids today to them.

v cool the hd one works. near bottom of first page. I'm not crazy about Megatron, Prime is alright, but I think if it ain't broke don't fix it. I think a game where you get to be either Decepticon or Autobot and try and race back to Cybertron with as much energon as possible would be the ideal game. I would love to play that. Anyway a game based on the G1 characters is something to look forward to, I'm glad they don't look fragile either. I hope they put the original transformation sound in this game, it doesn't seem like it from the movie. Again if it ain't broke don't ruin it with crap!
As for the person who asked why they transformed back on Cybertron...
The fanwank explaination is that on Cybertron, alternate modes were either for mobility, firepower, speed, or better armor (at the cost of some other attribute - get better armor by compressing plates, you lose speed and mobility; gain speed, and you lose accuracy; etcetera).
The real reason is: It couldn't very well be "transformers" without transforming robots, now, could it?

Sorry to be even more fanwankery, but I have my own hypothesis:
Transformers are actually energy beings and house their vulnerable Sparks in robotic bodies. At some point in this evolution they had a need to transform their shapes. Just like we at some point needed to walk on two legs. I mean why walk! We can just drive around in cars! And so the tranformers, since they're transformers needed to and transform and still do even on their giant metal planet.
